Getting started

Four steps to your first VIP launch.

Install VIP Early Access, turn on the app embed in your theme, create a VIP tier and schedule your first launch.

Install the app
Install from the Shopify App Store and open it from your admin.
Turn on the app embed
In your theme editor, switch on the app embed under App embeds.
Create a VIP tier
Choose who belongs by tag, total spent or number of orders.
Schedule a launch
Pick products and a public time, then how early each tier opens.

Do customers need to sign in?

Yes. A shopper is recognised as VIP only when signed in to their customer account, so customer accounts must be turned on in your store.

Can I use tags from my loyalty app?

Yes. Any Shopify customer tag can define a tier, including tags a loyalty app writes.

Which time zone are launch times in?

Your store's time zone from Shopify settings, unless you choose another one in the app's settings.

Does it cover express checkouts?

Yes. Shop Pay and other express checkouts are checked too. Point of Sale is not covered.

Is checkout protection available on every Shopify plan?

On every Shopify plan except Starter.
